The radio stopped working 4 days before we came to Villa Ford. The car was dead on the 2 mornings prior to coming in. Both Pep Boys and Villa tested the battery which showed as good. After we dropped off the vehicle, Sheldon called and said they retested the battery and it was bad. Around 2pm, I authorized him to replace it assuming that would fix the radio as well. After authorizing a $144.00 battery, he said that there would be an additional $100.00 charge due to the difficulty in accessing the battery. I told him i knew where the battery sits, there is nothing obscuring it so what is the difficulty? He put me on hold and returned to state that there would be no additional charge for the battery with no further explanation. Next he said that the radio still doesn’t work and they would continue the diagnostic and advise ASAP. He did not call back or respond to 3 texts. I left 2 voicemails and was able to speak with a person who said ‘Gary’ was handling Sheldons customers today but he is on the phone but would call me when done. After 2 more hours without a return call, I got a ride to Villa, paid for the battery and left without ever getting the radio issue resolved. A piss poor experience for our first visit to Villa.
