Drew provided outstanding service. I brought my Lexus in late and the service department was busy. Drew took care of me right away and he was able to have a mechanic diagnose the engine light problem in a timely manner. When I went into the office of the service consultant for Drew I was directed to a chair. I sat on it and my pants became soaked. I got up and told Drew and he was as uninterested and did not apologize or even offer to get something to wipe it off. When I got into the rental car I smelled bad. Basically I had sat on a puddle of urine and I had to go home and wash my clothes and take a shower. The service consultant never called back to give me status that day. The next morning I got a call at 9 am. The car must have been ready the night before but no one called me the night before. Drew said that he noticed a leak in the steering wheel fluid and that I needed a new boot and it was oilfield cost about $3500. I called the mechanic that had installed a new rack and pinion in 2018 and they said they would replace it for free cuz it was still under warranty. When I came to pick up my car Drew told me that I should ask them how much extra for them to install a factory ordered component and that this often happened with an after market part. I asked him if he could show me the leak and he said not without putting it back on a rack. I asked which side the leak was on and he said he thought it was the passenger side but he would check. I had been waiting for my car for about 15 minutes already. He checked and said the leak was taken n the left drivers side. I asked about my car and he went to the attendants who went running around looking for my car and Drew just left me. About 5 minutes later they found my car which was behind a bush and no one had told me that it had been there for about 20 minutes while I was standing and waiting. The Matt had been pulled out and I found it later in the trunk and there was dirt on
My floor and the car had not been washed. It was the most personal and rude service experience I have ever had. It reminded me of why I had stopped going to the Lexus dealership because during my last visit when I came in for a simple smog check the car failed the smog check and I was told that I needed about $1500 in service from the dealership. I did the work and my car failed the smog check the second time. This time they explained that when the dealership’s smog machine gets hot it sometimes gives s failing rating. I asked how do I know if I needed the $1500 effort and they said it was probably due anyways. I waited until the smog machine cooled and it came back with a pass. The Mission Viejo Lexus dealership has very rude service agents with Drew the worst one I’ve ever had. I only took my car there because I had received the faulty airbag notice and was told to go to a dealer. This experience cemented my negative impression of this Lexus dealership. Excellent customer service and they replaced a defective driver side door panel. The one negative is the air conditioner all of a sudden was not blowing cold air so we are taking vehicle back to see if the Technician May have accidentally trigger something during the complimentary auto inspection since vehicle has only 4700 miles and a/c was working great prior to bringing car in for service.
