I brought my 2019 hybrid RAV4 in to repair a well known fuel tank issue. The problem when filling the gas tank is the automatic shut off clicks once or twice indicating the tank is full, when in fact it is not.. The only way to fill the tank is for clicking it multiple times bypassing the gas pump safety feature and clicking it multiple times until fuel spills out onto the ground. This is an obvious safety issue and I’m sure one of the reasons why Toyota sent a service bulletin. My only options are to let gas bill on the ground or not fill up the tank all the way. As you can imagine this is been a big inconvenience for many years and I’m trying to get the issue resolved. Obviously Toyota recognize the issue and put out the service bulletin to get it repaired. I will be back to pick up somebody preferably whoever is in charge of approving recall work and go fill up my gas tank with them to witness issue so I can get it repaired.

We had just returned my brother’s ashes to his birthplace from Texas and we’re in Long Beach when the check engine light came on. I was pretty sure it was the original gas cap that was at issue and I needed an oil change as well. It was late afternoon and traffic was building when I called and spoke with Dean. He assured me he could have the car serviced that afternoon so we could get back on the road the following morning. An accident on the freeway caused us to be late arriving, but he got us taken care of regardless. My thanks to all at Frontier!
