The truck was a new purchase. I finished the purchase late Thursday, so has to bring it back Friday for maintenance and to be detailed. I was at the dealership for over 3 hours (which was fine, and expected), but when I got the truck, the detailing was extremely poor. They did not wash the roof and it was visibly still dirty. They did not clear around the edges, or the running boards. Had I not needed to get to an appointment, I would have forced them to redo it. If I was the service manager, I would be embarrassed about sending a new vehicle out like they did.

Pete was outstanding as a service manager. He kept me informed of repair progress and status twice a day as my Escape was in the shop for several days. He used a soft sale approach and not pushing additional repair work. And I appreciate that aspect of his sales approach and why I use Grapevine Ford for my minor and major vehicle repairs. He informed me of needed scheduled service and offered suggestions why with the pros and cons of doing said servicing. Very caring and professional attitude. Grapevine Ford should be very proud of having Pete managing their Service Department.

I had asked that in addition to the work I had done on the transmission, that they look at a broken panel on the front passenger side. This is actually the second discrete attempt to get it looked at with your dealership. The first time I was told to come back because they didn’t have time and the part. So this time I noted it on the online form. Then called in advance so that Jody would either order the part or be ready to have them look at it. When I brought the car she hadn’t looked at the form, so we walked out and I pointed out the panel that needed to be fixed.
Several days later, after hearing nothing on my car’s status I tried calling and again asked about the panel. My car was with the dealership a week and I raised it 5 separate times. By the last day it was clear that she had not asked the mechanics about it until I was to pick it up. So of course it requires another visit which, as someone working 70 plus hours a week, I do not have time for.
I understand missing something once or even twice, but five times?
