I called to let the service desk know about my truck issue. The next opening for them to diagnose the issue was 2 weeks out. My appointment was at 7am, I arrived at 7am, they said they were going to do a drain and flush of the transmission, at 12:00 I was still sitting at the dealership, I went to the service desk and they said the technician was refilling the transmission fluid and it shouldn’t be more than another hour. Two hours later I was still sitting at the dealership, went back to the service desk, he called the technician which was test driving the truck and said he could still feel the issue and wanted to replace the torque converter. The service technician said they were on back order and it would take 2-3 weeks for the part to get in, the only curtesy vehicle they could give me was an suv. I had to have a truck and told the service advisor once they received a curtesy truck I would bring my truck in to swap out. They said the part would be ordered and would call once a curtesy truck was available, 3 weeks later I called asking if the part had came in, THE PART WAS NEVER ORDERED! After a long phone call being transferred to different departments the parts technician ordered the part and said it would be in in two days, I then asked to be sent to the service desk to schedule a date for me to drop my truck off to be repaired. The service advisor said their next opening for transmission service was 2 weeks away, I made the appointment and dropped my truck off 2 weeks later. The loaner truck paperwork said I would only have the truck for 3 days, 2 weeks after dropping my truck off for repair and picking up the curtesy truck I still hadn’t heard anything from the dealer. I called and asked for an update at was told they had 2 transmission services ahead of mine and they hadn’t even started working on my truck. 4 days later I finally got my truck back. This has to be the worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership, there is no way I should have had to drive a malfunctioning truck for almost 3 months after initially contacting the dealership with the issue. As big as Everett GMC is they should have more than one transmission technician and should have more than just a handful of curtesy trucks. After this experience there is no way I can recommend Everett GMC to anyone that is considering buying a new vehicle, I have several close friends that are cars salesman at that dealership but if the service department can not take care of the customers after the sale then it is a terrible dealership to do business with. I didn't actually see Cory. Matt Phipps took care of me today. The guys and gals in Service di a great job. My only issue was the lack of communication after the steering wheel was ordered. That was January, February timeframes. Had I not thought and asked about it Saturday I would not have known it was there.
