I felt very discouraged when I was told they do a complete inspection of the vehicle during service. They didn't notice that the rear muffler was hanging and not attached to the runner hanger properly. It was a very obvious thing I spotted from walking around the vehicle prior to bringing it in for Service. I'm hesitant to bring my vehicle back to this dealer for service in the future. How do I know the work being done is actually being done when a tech misses large hanging items on a full visual inspection. How did the tech not hear the rattling of the exhaust laying ontop of the rear axle as I heard especially sitting at idle. The fact that they checked everything including rotating tires but didn't notice that leads me to believe they may have done a quick glance over and not really a complete inspection.
This is not the Service writters fault as I intentionally did not tell him in advance of the obvious issue. I wanted to see if this dealerships service department really did a thorough job. Obviously not. When I mentioned the issue to the service writer he did the right thing and imediattely took the vehicle back in to correct the issue.
