Rob, this was the first time that we had a less than satisfactory service visit. I am not sure if that's because it was a no-charge repair as part of a settlement claim, but here are the issues we encountered in trying to get our sliding door problem resolved:
1) Multiple visits over the years complaining about the sliding door problem only to be told there wasn't an issue. Well, the legal settlement proves that there WAS an issue, so in hindsight, that looks like obfuscation on your dealership's part.
2) After getting the legal settlement notice, we made an appointment and then were asked to reschedule it (twice!) because the right parts hadn't been ordered. The second time was extremely frustrating, because I had arranged my day expecting to have a long visit, only to be told that the parts weren't there yet (after being told at the previous reschedule they would be) "because we have to check and see which parts we need to order." Well, duh, it turned out you needed all of them. That really makes me suspect it was all just an excuse to cover up someone's laziness and failure to order the parts on time the way they should have been ordered.
There were also two MAJOR issues we encountered during our visit yesterday:
3) We got no notification that our entire van was going to be emptied of valuable dog show equipment which was then put back helter-skelter by the technician. We would have been happy to arrive WITHOUT the equipment if we had been told to do so. We would have been happy to REPACK the equipment ourselves the right way if we had been allowed to do so. Instead, everything was jammed back in incorrectly and at risk of breakage. You are fortunate nothing did break, or we would be asking for reimbursement right now.
4) We also received a text that the vehicle was all done and ready to leave 90 minutes before it was actually done. The person we asked about it said "Oh, that's an automatic message that goes out when I start the paperwork." Well, why the heck did he start the paperwork so early, if he knew that? The person picking up the van lost an hour of work time she could have done due to this issue, which I have honestly never encountered at your site before.
In addition, we were not super happy to see that your mask policy was not enforced for customers and there were not enough outside tables to get away from the idiots who choose not to wear masks.
All in all, I have to say that although this was my first bad experience at your service facility, it was bad enough that I will more than likely take my vehicle to a different dealership in the future.

It wasn’t the fault of the service center. My vehicle was there to fix a recall with the navigation system but they were unable to log on. So I need to go back again for the same service. Frustrating but no ones fault.
