Speak with Service Director Tim Clark, I discussed my issues with him and he is supposed to get back to me. Essentially, the service department was supposed to change my battery, change my oil and call me for further steps. I told them, when I left my car there on Friday, that I had a guarantee from Firestone on my starter, so I’d would have Firestone look at it. I told them this after we did the paperwork b/c that’s when I talked to Firestone, but it was before I left the property. I guess I was supposed to say scratch the diagnostic off the paper, but I didn’t so they did not change the battery but instead charged me for a diagnostic on the starter which I had already told them would be fixed at Firestone. I came in initially with a starter issue, but Travis said the starter couldn’t be properly diagnosed without a good battery and he started he car about 4-5 times while I was checking in and felt it was the battery. So I said, since we’re here change the battery and the oil. Long story short, my battery did not get changed (and I still need one). And, I already knew there was an issue with the starter b/c I told them when I checked in. Travis said it was more likely the battery, so he said change the battery. I’m not arguing that I initialed on the paper for a battery change and diagnostic, but once I made the call to Firestone, I came back out of the waiting area and told Travis that I had spoken with Firestone and they said I had my starter fixed last October and a battery cable replaced. I didn’t know I needed to say scratch off the diagnostic. Furthermore, when they looked at the starter and saw it wasn’t factory, that should have jogged Travis’ memory. So now I have received nothing for the $135, I paid and I feel I should have rec’d a battery. Tory, the supervisor, I guess started the conversation with me by saying in order to do right by me he’d replace the battery and charge me the additional $26, which would have been agreeable, but for some reason, he backed away from that and now I’ve just been taken for $135. No battery. No new information. And, I still need a battery.
