I have been bringing my car in faithfully to get my maintenance for a little over a year and a half. I started hearing my brakes squeal before the first appt I had. I asked for them be checked. I was told they were fine. Oddly though my brakes continued to to make the noises. At every appt we have had, we’ve asked for the brakes to be looked at. Every time we were told they were fine. At our April 3 appt we once again asked and were told, nope. They are fine. Then given a list of recommended services that were to cost us $405. We discussed it and decided to get everything taken care. Called scheduled the appt, were happy with how quickly we got in. However, my fiancé gets there today only to be told by the mechanic that suddenly our brakes are close to being metal on metal and that they need to be replaced. So what should have been an appt of $405 turned into an appt that cost me $1079.00. While I understand and appreciate the need for continual upkeep, I feel that this is a situation that I was taken advantage of. I do not understand how my brakes went from great to being close to metal on metal in 30 days. It makes me question if my brakes were ever looked at in the numerous times we asked. I now feel like I should be looking for other places to get my car serviced. Which is a shame since I am stuck paying for a maintenance package every month with your company.
