The specific recall that I brought my car in for the first place was not completed. A different one was done but not the actual important recall #22V051. I am still in need of this. The communication was lacking and I dropped my car off at 9:30 am on Friday and did not hear anything until after 4 when I had to call the service station. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Will not bring my car in again.

My experience at Kia mall of Georgia was not seamless as I would’ve expected it to be. I had a scheduled appointment for two recalls. When I was contacted to let me know my car was ready for pickup. I was told the recall for my trunk latch was not completed only after I asked what work had been completed on my car. Had I not asked prior to picking up my car I would’ve arrived thinking all the work on my car had been completed. I dropped my car off at 8am and was called for pickup at 1pm. At no point during that time was I called to be informed the part for the replacement was not available and it needed to be ordered. Yet I was called for everything else. I got a call from the sales department asking If I wanted to trade my car in. I got another communication about the brakes in my car being recommended for replacement. Yet NO ONE told me that the truck latch was not being replaced. The very reason I made the appointment for. The lady on the phone I spoke with had every excuse under the sun as to why the work had not been done or at the very least communicated that the work could not be completed. The first excuse was because of the language barrier from the mechanic who worked on my car, because he is from Korea and speaks little to no English. To new system issues and the best one yet was the fact that they were just having an unusual day. Had I not advocated for myself and my car I would’ve walked away with the issue still not resolved. From my understanding from Jennifer when a client makes an appointment the dealerships orders the part that is needed of it is not in stock. I scheduled my appointment over a week in advance. If what she said is true then the part for my car should’ve been ordered and available come the day of my service. Because it wasn’t she had to use the same part intended for another customer to be used on my car. I am not sure where the lack of communication and operational efficiency lies but it hindered my experience from being pleasant. I left feeling highly unsatisfied and unfortunately will not be back.
