My appointment was for transmission fluid change. When the technician asked what prompted me to change it, I explained I had a light that turned on telling me to check the transmission. Immediately the technician told me there was no such light. I explained the light/info and he said that would only be fixed with a diagnostic. He then told me that would be $190. I told him I would get the diagnostic elsewhere. He again said that wouldn’t solve my problem, which I acknowledged. The technician told me to leave, get the car diagnosed at the other location and then return to get the fluid change once I knew what was wrong. I said I wanted to proceed with the appointment and change the transmission fluid. Again he said that wouldn’t solve my problem. I asked when the transmission fluid needed to be changed or how often. He said, for a vehicle like yours after 30 or 50,000 miles. I said my vehicle had 83k miles and I had never changed it, so I wanted it done. He then questioned if I had changed other fluids and rambled off a few which I said no. I asked to change the fluid and proceed with my appointment. He looked rather bothered and finally helped me out. He asked if the light was still on and I told him it was not. I didn’t appreciate his treatment which I saw as rather unprofessional. My appointment was for the fluid change and not a diagnostic. I felt his demeanor and treatment towards me was different as soon as I rejected the $190 fee. This wasn’t what I expected. Not sure I’ll be scheduling further service at this location.

After waiting 2 1/2 hours, I found they hadn't started on my car. I didn't want to wait another 1 1/2 hours, so had them only do the oil change. They said I could wait until the next service for the other things, if I preferred. They gave me a 15% discount. I'm not sure that's enough, since I would have done better to skip this appointment. I wouldn't have ended up with a half-done service.
