I also asked him to check another potential problem. I had noticed that the auto off/on gas-saver function hadn’t been activated in a few months. He did not include this issue on the work order. When I asked at check out, the young lady explained that an early drop-off for trouble-shooting would be required. I did my own research later and learned about the numerous environmental factors that determine if this feature should be activated. Back in the day, mechanics would simply explain this to a customer.
