For almost 5 years I do my routine service at Honda Norm Reeves. After the service I received at Honda during my recent visit for an oil change on my Honda Insight I decided to never come back. Few days after the service, while driving on the highway, the metal shield under the car became loose and started sparking against the ground, creating a dangerous situation. Upon inspection, I discovered that the clips securing the shield were missing, which likely caused the shield to detach.
When I returned to the dealership to address the issue, I was informed that only the missing clips could be replaced, and the damaged shield would not be repaired or replaced as there was "no proof" that the clips were not secured during the service. Additionally, when I spoke with a manager, I was told that the dealership was not responsible for any issues once the car leaves the service center.
This experience is deeply concerning, as it compromised the safety of both myself and my family. While I understand that certain policies may apply, I believe the oversight during the service has led to unnecessary risk, and I would appreciate it if the dealership could take responsibility for the situation.
