When my vehicle’s “service required” message appeared, I called the dealer. The person answering my call told me that my vehicle was due for an oil change and service and to make an appointment. I booked an appointment but called the next day to make sure it was due for an oil change. It had only been 5,000 miles since my last oil change. The person again stated that I should come in for an oil change. Upon arriving to the dealer, the service advisor confirmed that oil changes are every 10,000 miles but a “basic service” was every 5,000 miles. I was then rushed to sign for a service and was told they had “a whole line of cars waiting”. I was the first person to arrive at the dealership before 7am. Later, the advisor called and stated I should get an oil change and tire rotation with my complimentary auto care. The service took two hours, my vehicle wasn’t touched for the first hour even though I was the first person there. I am disappointed with the customer service I received. First the two individuals incorrectly told me that my vehicle was due for an oil change then the advisor guided me for an oil change again even though I had one 5,000 miles prior. I feel as if I was coerced then rushed into service I did not need. The staff wasn’t very friendly and the entire process took longer than expected. I am not satisfied with the process at all. When I call for service, I expect to speak to someone who is knowledgeable and honest. I called five times over two separate days to speak to a service advisor and never got through to anyone that could answer my questions. I feel like my time and money were taken advantage of.
