Going to be a long story. Made the appointment for 7Apr22 at 2pm got off work early dropped the car off at about 1230. When I made the appointment I told them I would need a rental car because I was told my car would have to stay all night to do the repel, well Luis M. was the person who helped me when I got there he had my paperwork and said he can get me shuttle or I could stay, so I figured the rental car didn’t get translated and I just wanted to go home after a day at work. Said I’d take the shuttle, got my dress white uniform out of my car and waited. Didn’t take long for the shuttle driver to ask who needed the shuttle raised my hand and grabbed my stuff got into the shuttle. He asked where to, gave my address and we left, he missed a turn (no biggie it happens) he drops me off and I grab my stuff tipped him the $5 I had on me and went into my home. At 347pm I get the message saying my car was done. Started to call the service to try and get a shuttle (because I only have one vehicle and can’t teleport) pressed one it went all they way through to voicemail, I tried again same thing but i left a voice mail. Called the service department pressed 2 (to make an appointment side) and wow got a hold of someone and explained my situation and that I would need a shuttle back. Well shocker I get told it’s only one way, wish I would have known that before hand which they said they should have told me because like how am I supposed to get back well they say they are going to transfer me to Luis. It rings through to voicemail. I get another call right after I answer it was on for about 3-4 seconds enough time for me to say hello twice and they hung up without saying anything. I call the number back and well voicemail so I call the base service department again and press 2 again had to explain the whole situation again to another person. While on the phone I get a message at 409pm saying “ tried to call you back our shuttle stops running at 4:00 pm” so I think either I have been lied to and I could have been shuttled back or they were going to make an exception. But while on the phone with the lady she said that the shuttle driver and Luis both told me the shuttle was one-way and I about lost it because I know for a fact Luis never mentioned it and the shuttle driver only said to me “who needs the shuttle, I’ll shut the sliding door, where to, I missed a turn, I’ll close the sliding door” well she transfers me to some man and he said they should have told me (nah duh) but I had to options either Uber to the dealership (which irritated me that I would have to spend my money to get there, which I voiced with but with spend my f@$#ing money) he said he was tell me my options. So either Uber or he would pick me up in the morning to get my car (well I get up early and go to work at 6am so that wasn’t an option and got even more irritated because me saying that he didn’t seem to want to help me anymore it was either those options or no options) my fiancée had to leave work early pick me up and take me to the dealership because Uber was $40-70 just to go to the dealership. I get to the dealership and explain that I’m upset to the assistant manager because I guess the manager was in a meeting or something I don’t remember exactly. But I told him the whole story that I just typed out and told him I’m irritated because of the whole situation and how it inconvenienced not just myself but my fiancée as well. I don’t care for an apology or anything, I just want better for the next person.

My car feels a little rough since I had it serviced. It is not driving the same and I am noticing it when I am accelerating, my car is using more power to get to speeds as low as 20 mph. This is affecting my fuel efficiency.
Another issue was with customer service. If somebody is waiting for the car, and customer service lets the person know they will come in and let them know when the car is ready, please let them know in person (as well as text). I was only informed by text message, but that was the assumption of customer service that I had a phone on me/ my phone was working. Therefore, customers that came after me were being called and a “quick” service as stated by your employee took over 2 hours because nobody informed me in the waiting room.

A two hour oil change upon a made appointment is ridiculous especially when observing only 5 cars ahead in the service line. Unfortunately my car was not even serviced allegedly and deemed inoperable at the time due to it needing a new water pump. I received no previous status until two and a half hours later. I ultimately chose to not have my car serviced but was unable to get my car til the next day. However, I had to call and leave multiple messages and only after leaving a message with the service manager did I receive a text my car was ready. I took my car to an alternate repair shop only to be advised that my car was never taken apart to become inoperable and that the whole ordeal of me being without my own car for an entire day was unnecessary. Ultimately I feel duped. I just needed timely communication on recommended diagnosis to choose if I approved service to be done or seek other options. I’ve been a loyal owner of only Toyota’s for the past twenty years as well as a loyal patron of norm reeves Toyota for twenty years. I’ve only had three service providers in that time. Robert being the third. I shall continue to have my newer hybrid rav4 serviced here despite these unfortunate events. Hopefully honesty and integrity can be restored upon future service needs.
