We purchased a 2022 Highlander platinum and want to keep it all up to date at our Toyota dealer we purchased from (we live 1hr 1/2 away). I feel when we purchased the vehicle close to 60k miles these things should have been done, instead we payed $2,000 for the value package on top of our purchase and all extended warranties. I feel this is a bit excessive and to be asked to do this last minute made me seem pressured and kinda disappointed that this wasn’t covered for such a higher end vehicle with the mileage close to being due for this service. I believe this could have been done prior to selling the vehicle not to mention when we bought the vehicle it needed hatch motors replaced and it was missing a key fob, which when we purchased we were made to feel it was easy to get this all complete. I will say our hatch motors were fixed after a delay and mix up in the situation , I did mention key fob replacement when I was there last and this was addressed promptly. I also feel like while I decided to go with the “value service” I was kinda just left in the lobby to guess and hope it got done sooner than later. I do understand the technicians need time to complete the service, but I feel the service lacked in customer support as I was never checked on it texted any estimated time of completion, so I continued to sit and wait with no notification or idea when this work would be complete.

There was confusion about when the car was ready. I was told they would bring it right out, but they had difficulty finding it. After a total of about 25 minutes from when I was told to wait at the curb “They will bring it right there”, it was brought to me. I drove back to Sebastopol before I saw the lower glove box was on the passenger floor. I tried to install it, but I could not get it to latch properly. I called Jamie and brought it back where the glove box was reinstalled in 5 minutes. I drove back to Sebastopol, happy!
