My car was misdiagnosed within 15 minutes after dropping it off A n unneeded repair Was done and then I picked it up l. I promptly discovered the problem was no fixed and had to return later to them find out a much more expensive repair was needed. I felt like the. I was pretty dissatisfied

This was the first time I’ve had a bad experience. The service writer, Chris, quoted me $129.95 to do a wheel alignment, and they would perform it if needed. My coupon book was for $85/alignment. He also said they needed to replace my cabin air filter, which was replaced during my last service visit. He had to call me back because he didn’t know why it had to be replaced. When he called back, he said a rodent had been nesting in the filter. I asked him to replace it, and save the filter so I could show my landlord we had a rodent problem. Chris said the tech probably cleaned it out so there wouldn’t be an evidence to show. He then quoted me almost twice as much to replace the filter that had just been replaced, and cited labor costs. I told him I’d replace it myself. He said they we’re starting on the alignment test. When I got off the phone, I realized he would probably charge me for the alignment whether it was necessary or not. I called to tell him to stop because I wanted a second opinion, and he said it was already done. He did wave the fee. This whole appointment was offensive. I’ve never been treated this way at Hansel, and I’m disappointed with the service I received.
