Great person who helped in maintenance for Civic

I went in for an oil change and to have a thumping noise checked out in my CR-v rear wheel. They explained to me that if it was going to take longer than the day or if they needed to order they would offer me a courtesy vehicle. Fortunately the technician found the issue and it was a easy fix because they also had the part in stock. 6 hours later I got my vehicle and was on way home. around 25 minutes later I got a call from my service advisor,anthony sanchez asking if I continued to he the thumping. I explained to him since it only made the noise when I drove slow I had to wait until I got off the freeway to see if I was still able to hear it. As I drove off the freeway I immediately heard the noise and that's when Anthony informed me that the part was never changed. Due to miscommunication Anthony thought the technician did the work and was okay for me to take it. Anthony apologized for the misscommunication and said he would take care of me when I went back in, at this point my wife had to make the 20 mile drive back to the dealership for the second time that day.my wife made it just before closing and the issue was resolved but Im extremely disappointed that I lost half a day and wasted twice as much gas as I needed and all that was offered was a free oil change on my next visit. After this experience im not sure I'll be going back to West Covina for my future services.the lack of attention to such an important detail was extremely upsetting.
