Everyone is nice and cordial, but the price to inspect my vehicle to diagnose an issue that couldn’t be solved by Toyota is ridiculous. I’ve taken my previous vehicle (Camry) in for troubleshooting before and never charged that much to “diagnose” an issue. The price was usually less than the estimated amount and work was actually done. Nothing was done to my vehicle. I figured out what the issue was upon questioning from the service advisor. I was given the option of paying more money to continue running diagnostics to figure out the issue. What a racket.

She provided directions to the restrooms and a few moments later checked to make sure I found the destination. She came back to inform me that I had approximately 30-40 minutes remaining before my car would be ready and she informed me of additional maintenance to consider in the near future. I took my vehicle in because I had a nail in one tire. I have the tire and wheel protection and usually my tire is just replaced. This time was not the case Bryan stated that the replacement of tire was denied. I called the warranty number he provided along with the claim number and the Perón I spoke to at warranty stated that my claim was incomplete so there wasn’t a way it was denied. I asked the representative to stay on phone as I was still at Carson Toyota so I can go ask Bryan to complete it and maybe I’d get my tire replaced. He said they had denied replacement and that they were going to ask for pictures and proof so they suggested to repair the tire and I had to go to a repair shop. So it didn’t seem like he wanted to be helping me out so I left with a nail in my tire with this hazardous weather. He didn’t even offer to replace my tire with my spare at least. So I went to Penske Toyota in Downey the service advisor called and as I told her and it states in the notes Bryan left on the papers that are given upon vehicle delivery “Denied”. The service advisor had the warranty department on speaker and I clearly heard when she stated it was not denied it was incomplete. So they moved forward with the claim and I was able to get my tire replaced.
