I appreciate being able to drop off the car the day before. I did ask if the mechanic would look over the car, a 4Runner with 230,000 miles. I expect that it needs struts and maybe a few other things. The mechanic had nothing to say.

First of all, I made an appointment online to see “any advisor” and got one assigned. When I arrived, I was told that he was unavailable. This would not be a relevant issue on its own, but I think that it’s worth mentioning, since unfortunately it was not the only negative issue that I encountered. If an associate’s name auto-populates for an appointment, he/she should be free and available for the customer at the time of that appointment for the sake of professionalism. Second issue: I was given a promise time of 2 hours, which is typical, but my vehicle took 3 and half hours for service, which was unacceptable. If you are going to promise something to a customer, you should deliver. Third and fourth issues: the shuttle service AND the car wash service were not available due to Covid. While I understand the pandemic situation, I think there comes a point in time when we need to stop using it as an excuse for inability to provide good customer service. In fact, while booking my appointment with you, I had initially booked one with Toyota of Huntington Beach on accident (on beach and Garfield) and their shuttle service is operating (I was asked if I needed a ride anywhere when I was booking my appointment). I would really advise that you at least consider what your competitors are offering during this difficult time. For my car to take an additional hour and half for routine service to be completed AND not even be washed is entirely unacceptable. Of course, this is YOUR business and the decision to discontinue services is entirely up to you, but I think that if you are going to discontinue something that your customers are accustomed to, you should at the very least announce that on your website so that they are able to make an informed decision about coming to you for routine service or seeking it elsewhere.

I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service today. The supposedly paint servicié that I am paying service only covered a carwash. I had to wiat more than 2 hours, just for a carwash. No paint job or anything was done to my car. I requested That’s a car be checked again and that I didn’t drive more than an hour just for a car wash and especially didn’t pay over $2000 for a simple car wash. The package includes more than that and I was being lied to that the paint service had already been done. Which was even more frustrating because it was a total lie in the car had only been washed.. This type of service at Toyota is a scam and a very dishonest.It’s very disappointing that customers are being lied to and their money is being stolen. It is clear that the best service we customers get is when we are getting persuaded into buying a car but after we are done signing the contract we are no longer provided with same honest service.
