We had the 12v battery replaced last week and asked if any service was due,was told no,6 days later a oil change was due, Customer service has gone downhill since new management took over, we will look elsewhere In the future

I was very impressed with how quickly my car was serviced. It was ready, with additional services, two hours after I dropped it off at the service center. When I arrived to pick it up, it was not on the lot. Even more alarming, no one had any idea where it was. My service manager then went on to help other customers instead of alerting others to the mistake. I waited 20 minutes before the manager politely inquired if I had been helped. When he entered the picture, there was a more active search. It was finally determined that my car had been mistakenly sent to be detailed. I then waited another 10 minutes for a rental car so that I could attend my son’s volleyball game. I replied that I would return between 5:30 and 7:30. When I arrived at 5:50, my car was not there. We then waited 15 more minutes for it to arrive. I do appreciate being given a rental car so I could see my son’s high school game (he is a senior), but I did not appreciate the extra 80 minutes I spent in transit and waiting on a car. I have been a loyal customer to Newark Toyota ever since I bought the car there in 2012, but I did not feel valued today. Thank you to the manager and rental car representative for their apologies and willingness to remedy the situation.
