I was told there were acorns in my air filter and the blower had to be removed and cleaned for almost $300. I declined the roughly $300 charge to clean.
However when I arrived home and opened the filter under glovebox, I found all the referenced acorns sitting on top of the filter and a few on the floor of the passenger cabin. Is that to say that a tech at the dealership actually opened up my filter, saw the issue, saw all the acorns, and because I didn’t chose to move forward with the $300 fee, carefully put the old filter with all the acorns right back in the car? That’s kind of crazy, if so.
Hoping there’s some other explanation.
