On July 1st, 2020, I had a complicated surgery on my left foot and I am is a hard cast from my toes to my knee. I cannot walk on my left foot for at least 70 days. I have had three prior surgeries over the years, and was always able to drive myself. This time turned out to be quite different, though, because my new knee scooter is extremely heavy for me to lift into the car. My son Conor and I found three ways that absolutely will not work. A friend gave me a very lightweight chair to sit on while I lift the scooter into the seat behind the driver seat. Then I put the chair in the car and move on one foot to the driver's seat. However, as soon as I moved my seat forward, the knee scooter fell down the crack between the seats with such a thud that I knew I would not be able to retrieve it. Basically, I was stuck because I could not walk. I drove to the Henry Brown dealership to see if they could first unwedge my knee scooter and secondly, take out the seat behind the driver side because that would be the only way I could possibly lift the scooter in for the next 7 weeks. I realized that I did not have an appointment, but I was frustrated and almost in tears. Several people came from the shop and talked to me. The final two people were a shop supervisor and the head technician, the latter of whom got on his knees with a flashlight and was able to ascertain that the seat was held in by four bolts and some other accoutrements. The supervisor said that it was busy, but they would do it right away. I am thankful beyond words for the kind and generous people at Henry Brown, because I would have been immobile, even to getting into the house without assistance. The employees of Henry Brown GMC and Buick showed extraordinary compassion and flexibility. I was actually in tears of gratitude as I was driving home! Before I bought my current 2014 GMC Acadia from Henry Brown, I had checked literally every place in the valley to see what my options were and to get a sense of the personnel. None of the dealerships compared to the Henry Brown dealership in terms of talking in a straightforward manner, and not making me feel that I needed to buy within the next 10 minutes or the "deal" would go away. I bought the car at the Henry Brown dealership because they were the only dealership who made me feel safe and respected. Now I know that my initial instincts were 100% correct. I will never buy a car other than a GMC love you look and I will never buy from anyone other than Henry Brown. The staff there has been such a blessing to me and I thank them more than words can express.

When I got home and looked in the back seat of my car, there was garbage that was not from me on the back seat. Also my few belongings were either on the back seat or back floor where they were not left. I expected the car to be washed as that has always been my experience with dealerships when you have work done, especially since due to a technician’s error the car was there an extra day and I did not complain nor take the loaner car which I would have done in the first place if I knew my car would be there 5 days.
