A check engine light came on in a used car that was purchased from the dealer less than a week earlier. A diagnosis could not be determined, but I still got charged the diagnostic fee. Although I understand that the service center incurred labor costs, it seems unusual to be charged when a check engine light is on and a diagnosis could not be determined.

They were to rotate & balance my tires. They only rotated the tires. I was in the car ready to, looked at the bill. No balance! I went back in. Da oh that will be at least another 45 minutes. They had the tires off before. I wasn’t happy and just left. PS: I told them I wanted the tires balanced when I called & made the appointment and again when I got there. Do they pay attention to the customers?
