My experience with Hyundai was frustrating. I got the repairs that I needed done when I brought it in, but my car was also damaged while at the shop. That damage led to two doors needing to be completely replaced. Hyundai took care of it, but what really made me angry is that no one told me anything. I paid for the services and then saw that my car was damaged. So, they were going to send me away without anyone ever telling me about the damaged that happened at the shop. Take my payment and let me go on my way. The explanation I got was that the damage was “on the passenger side, and we don’t often look at that side.” I can understand that accidents happen, but please, that reasoning will not suffice when there is that much damage. I was hoping that Hyundai would provide some type of refund for the services and I got $250. That didn’t settle well. To top it off, I had problems with the same issues that were repaired on the car 2 weeks later. When I brought the car in again, I was told that these were new issues that were not missed in the inspection, they just came up 2 weeks later. That felt very strange to me. Thankfully, one part was covered under warranty, otherwise that would have been another $1000. When I got my car for the second time, there was another part, near the truck that was sticking out. To me, that was damage that happened again, on site. But, when I talked with the staff about this, I was told that this was damaged they noted and documented before they repaired it again. I don’t remember that. But even if it was true, all the staff member had to do was “push it back in.” If it was that easy, why didn’t you just take care of that before bringing it back out? I just wish the employees and managers were more aware of what was going on. I can’t list all the things that were told to me about why they didn’t know that my doors were damaged. The most frustrating one was, “it’s a big lot and we don’t have cameras that see the whole lot.” Please, just take responsibility in your words and not just your actions, by fixing the problem for me. This all was just way more of a hassle than in needed to be. Please check your cars out before paying and leaving the lot.

They didnt run my warranty until I reminded them after having told them initially. Then when I went to pick up my car there was a huge dent in it by the break light and the break light was loose and not fitting properly. He kept telling me no its fine just go home if you have a problem come back. He kept saying see its the same as the other side and was just trying to get me to drive my car off the lot so they could claim it wasn't their fault. Thankfully after much frustration I was able to get the manager of the service department as well as the head of the repair to come over and they agreed with me that they did indeed dent my car and the light was not installed and sitting properly. I don't know if this is because I am a women but I did not appreciate being told that I was essentially crazy and that there was nothing wrong and that I was being pushed out the door. Ultimately the problem got fixed but the way the representative at the service department conducted himself was inexcusable and made me feel horrible and horrified because how many other women had he belittled like this before. My problem was handled and my car is now ok but it added 4 days and emotional abuse. The head of the service department said he would be speaking with both the person who worked on my car as well as the person who handled my service poorly. I hope that this changes the way these two individuals work because I would not want another person or woman to go through what i did.
