Our dissatisfaction has nothing to do with Raul. Raul was polite and efficient.
Our point is we brought in our VW Beetle with the complaint that the horn didn’t work and that we needed a new key made. We were told it would take a few weeks to obtain the key. We understood this.
When we drove off the Norm Reeves lot we were told the horn had been fixed. Now we picked up the vehicle late that evening, as I drove off the lot I honked the horn - IT DID NOT WORK. Calling the next morning to report that the horn didn’t work, the young lady said Norm Reeves guaranteed their work and when I came in to pick up the key after it had been programmed, we could get the horn fixed.
After waiting a month and a half the key had not been received and all this time with no horn, I called and talked with the Service Manager, explaining my aggravation at the lackadaisical response in receiving the key and the horn which never worked.
Taking the car in I was quoted a price of $225. Then the call came, more damage to the wiring by rodents, the horn and the oil sensor wiring both affected and the additional cost $878.60. My position is the horn wiring (which I had previously paid for) NEVER WORKED AFTER NORM REEVES HAD INDICATED IT HAD BEEN REPAIRED AND NOW I HAD TO PAY FOR THE HORN WIRING AGAIN!
Now, if I had driven off your lot and the horn worked, I could see that perhaps additional rodent damage had been done. BUT THAT WASN’T THE CASE! TO REITERATE THERE WAS NEVER A TIME UPON PICKING UP OUR CAR FROM NORM REEVES VW THAT THE HORN FUNCTIONED.
I had no problem in paying for the oil sensor, paying for the horn wiring AGAIN, was quite disconcerting especially from a dealer we have trusted to do the right thing by their patrons.

I was disappointed when I looked at the itemized paper of everything that needed to be done with my car and saw the inspection was done by 10:30 and I didn’t receive a call with an update from Raul until after 2. I received the update after I had called to get an update and was forwarded to a voicemail. The communication is lacking. I dropped off my car before 9am with an appointment thinking that it would not take 5 hours for them to figure out why my engine light was on. Also, I paid over $800 for service and they didn’t even wash the bird poop off my car. I mean really, you had my car for 8 hours you could have at least washed it. I will not be returning for future services.

Everything was fine. The team completed speedy check in and my VW was ready before previously anticipated so I was glad to make to work on time. The only thing I felt was not expected is the price. Would have been nice if the techs laid down a mat. My car was totally clean inside before I dropped it off and when I got it back the rug was boot stomped and dirty. Going above and beyond would have just been spraying off the exterior too. I was happy with my service, the timing and the recall seems to be done adequately but being a first time customer, you could have hooked me with something as simple as laying down a mat. I really appreciate the teams time and expediency. The service team, Tom squared were both very nice too.
