Vehicle went in for a oil and filter change. When they completed the service the put the car through a car wash and broke three of the mud flaps. When I asked about what they were going to do to correct it I was told that because it was a older vehicle nothing. I have been waiting for the service manager to call me and he has failed to do so. If I don't get a call back today I will go to VW America and express my dissatisfaction. If they say older automobiles should not go through they car was (not something I requested) because of the potential for damage why would they put it through? They will service and repair a older automobile without question. 2007 VW Passat with on 50500 miles purchased new at this dealership.

The issue is still there, I went to service twice for same reason. Check engine lights and fuel cap lights were showing up both times.
The service agent told me it’s different codes every time but did not shared me those codes. Even they replaced advised me to change various things and charged me a good amount for those services. I believed them but now I feel they did not honestly fixed the issue . How come each time the same sign come up in the dashboard. I even requested to drive the car for some miles and see if symbols are there , I don’t think they did that .
I just drove from service to home and my car was parked the whole time and 9/15 morning as soon as I started the car , the symbols are back .
So either the service shop is not capable of fixing it or they are advising wrong all the time . I’m not at all happy with such service. I will complaint if needed to required gov agency.
