I received a notification from Ford that my car may have a problem with the flex plate in September 1922. I called to have my car checked, but was told that this recall was not yet in place and to call in 2023. I called And referenced the flex plate and made an appointment to bring my car in. When I took my car in they replaced shift cable bushing and adjusted the shifter per a different recall that I knew nothing about. When I got home and realized that they had done some thing different than what I asked I tried to call Don Wood Ford after trying to call for two days I was finally told that their phones were not working properly so they took my name and number and said they would email the service department. I waited all day and no one ever got back with me. At the end of the day , I called again and was finally able to get through to the service department. He told me they would not be addressing the flex plate unless I was having a problem with my car. This was not communicated to me six months ago when I called, I was told to call again in 2023, which I dead . They did not explain this to me when I brought my vehicle in. Very poor communication for a dealership that is struggling to keep its head above water. There are hardly any cars on the lot and no activity around the dealership. Maybe this is why. I did not get the name of the person I talk to on the phone, I asked him if his name was Larry, and all he said was no. Again, poor communication skills. There was never any apology given to me for their miscommunication. I could not recommend this dealership .
