I brought my RDX initially on 9/21/21 because the A/C was not blowing cold air. The service tech said it needed a new compressor along with an expansion valve and a couple of O rings. My wife picked the vehicle up on 10/5. At the time the service consultant said since it was a warm day it may take some time for the A/C to cool the vehicle.
The drive home takes about 45 minutes and during that time the A/C was not cooling the vehicle down. We had some personal things that needed to be taken care of out of town but told the service advisor that we needed to bring the vehicle back in.
I bring the vehicle back in on 11/26/21 and this time I am told that the evaporator core needed to be replace along with the expansion valve. The expansion valve would be replaced under warranty but we needed to pay for the evaporator core. The technician that worked on my vehicle the first time also performed the repair this time. I'm thinking to myself are you just replacing parts? I had no choice and paid for the service and drove the vehicle home on 12/3/21.
The weather was cool so I didn't notice the A/C not blowing cold air for a couple of weeks. I called the service consultant back and told him that the vehicle was still not blowing cold air.
I took the vehicle back in on 12/27/21. This time a different technician said that the clutch assembly needed to be replaced but that was covered under warranty. When I asked the service consultant (not Miguel since he was out that day. I think the person's name was David) what the clutch assembly was he said it was for the blower. I asked him if that was part of the compressor and he stated no, that it was part of the fan that blows air into the cabin.
This didn't sit with me too well but I accepted his explanation. When I got home I searched the internet and found that the clutch assembly was indeed part of the compressor. So I have two questions, was the clutch assembly the only part that was actually not working and needed to be replaced and was the evaporator core really bad?
The A/C seems to be working fine now so this leaves a bad taste in my mouth on the service I received.
Thank you

Just wanted to say thanks for trying to find out the problem. I appreciate all the extra effort, even if the problem wasn't able to be replicated while it was there.
