I had an appointment at 8:45am for an oil change and an alignment. I didn't hear anything back from Kia, so I called them to inquire about the status of my vehicle at 1:40pm. They did not answer; therefore, I left a message asking for a call back. At 2:15pm, I received a phone call back from Eduardo saying that he just got my paperwork back indicating the services that is needed. I explained to him that it has been over 5 hours and because I didn't have a vehicle I had to walk in 105 degree weather to pick up my daughter who is in the 1st grade and subject her to walking a little over a mile in this heat. He told me that my vehicle should be ready at 4:30pm, which it was not and it wasn't ready until 5:10pm. After complaining to the service staff in how unsatisfied we were pertaining to their extremely slow service given that we had an appointment. Mike who works in the service department response to our frustration was an appointment time only guarantees that your car would be looked at that day. Eight and a half hours for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment is unacceptable.

We had the most terrible service today . Very unhappy with your service department they are very unorganized . My car sat there for 1:45 minutes . My appointment was at 1:00pm for a simple oil change . Had I not said anything I probably would have been there 4 hrs . Cars that arrived way after mine were put in first . The car was done with the oil change roughly after 20 minutes which makes me question if they even preformed a good quality job on my car . Had it not been for the fact that I purchased the service package I would have probably taken my car to another dealership like Alhambra were they take much pride and dedication with the cars and they gave excellent customer service.

Jonathan Martinez returned my vehicle yesterday. I picked it up at 6 pm expecting it to be finished, however, he pointed out that the engine light was on. I reacted in a shocking way and told him “that light has never came on before”, he stated “I told your dad about it when he dropped off your vehicle this morning and he did not want us to proceed to check it out. If you want us to diagnose it on a different day it will be $175.” Once again I told him that light has never turned on and he reiterated what he had previously told me. I was on my way out of the parking lot and called my dad, sure enough my dad stated that was a lie, that light was never and has never been turned on in the past. I turned back and confronted Jonathan who looked at my paper work and took my car back in the shop. I waited until he brought our my car and stated the service tech knew what the problem was and it was due to not plugging in a line correctly. If my engine light turns back on I will know if they just turned off the engine light just to turn it off. Not happy with the fact that he made up something that was false for the sake of “completing” the service of my vehicle and this is most likely not the first time this has happened, it’s very concerning because I don’t have piece of mind that my vehicle was serviced correctly and safely.

I had an appointment scheduled for 11:20am, I arrived at 11:30 and Eduardo assisted me in checking in. I left the car at the lot to be serviced and went to eat lunch for 2 hours. By the time I came back I saw my car was parked and thought it was done being serviced. I asked to see if my car was ready only to find out it had not been serviced yet. I waited another 30 minutes and rechecked to see if there was any progress. My car had still not been touched and it was 205pm already. I decided just to leave because I had other things to do. It was unfortunate that I wasn’t made aware of the delay and unfortunately spent my only day off trying to get my car serviced.

We have a documented repair problem, BUT we were told that Kia will need further documentation (red tape) before they can fix the problem. This is our only vehicle and we must use it daily. We were told that we would have to leave our car, possibly for a few days, before we could “qualify” for a loaner vehicle. Based on this experience with Kia, so far, I am not sure if we will be recommending Kia to anyone. Our car has only 76,000 miles.
