I approved two repairs and only one was completed. It even said on the paperwork that I refused the second repair and that is a lie. Now I have to wait for the second repair and bring in the car again when it all could have been done already.

On Saturday, May 29, while driving to Jeff City, from Ashland, on highway 63, our car started making a funny noise, and it started to lose power, not wanting to accelerate. Also, the check engine light came on as well as a couple other lights. Our vehicle was then towed to Riley. We heard back from Riley midway through the next week and were told the issue had to do with sensors and an igniter? I can’t remember the specifics. Mike told us what needed to be done to fix it. We agree to have all of that work done as well as a recall on an airbag. I very specifically, on more than one occasion when speaking to Mike, told him we were supposed to be taking this vehicle to Colorado the next week. I asked if he was confident this would solve the problem. He said something along the lines of yes, and the diagnostics came up with nothing else. Due to needing a new dashboard because ours was cracked during the process of completing the recall issue, we did not get our vehicle back until Wednesday, June 9. We left for Colorado Springs on Sunday, June 13. On Monday, June 14, in Colorado Springs, our car started doing the exact same thing it did when we had it towed to Riley. The exact same lights started flashing, and the same sound could be hard loudly. It began to lose power and would not accelerate well. We were luckily only down the street from a GMC place. After many tears and phone calls begging them to see our car ASAP, because again we were on vacation 700+ miles from home, they called us back to tell us we needed an entirely new engine at a minimum of $7,500. In the meantime, we had to get a rental car big enough for our whole family. Right now, we are still on vacation in Colorado Springs, and our Yukon is sitting in a GMC lot here as well. We want to know how this happened, and we expect answers. We were confidently told the issue was fixed, but only 4 days later our vehicle does the exact same thing and now we are told it needs a new engine. How was this not discovered at Riley. I don’t care that we drove 800 miles away. If the issue was “fixed” and we drove 800 miles in our own town, we would still expect answers as to why our vehicle was having the exact same problems as before when it was “fixed”. If we do not get some answers from this feedback , we will call whoever we need to to get some. We know and can contact the owners at Riley.

I had no issues the day of my service work. My car was actually ready earlier than scheduled and I was satisfied with the service that day. However I was dissatisfied with the service I received when calling to schedule the service. I requested the service department and when I told them I was calling about a recall notice, I was transferred to the parts department where I had to go through the same info to check if they had the parts available. They had to be ordered and I did not receive a call when the parts came in. Two months later had to call back and go through the same process - transfer to the parts department to see if the parts were available, then transfer back to the service department to schedule the service appointment. It was super frustrating and I felt like as the customer I should not have to be transferred around between departments. That should have been handled internally. I would suggest you reconsider this process to provide better customer service.

Kudo’s to Ron. I had a check engine warning and tried to make an appointment and was told it would be nearly two weeks before I could get an appointment. Instead, I dropped the car off early Monday morning, mechanics worked on the car late Monday, and were finished early Tuesday. I had numerous phone calls and texts from Ron keeping me posted on the status of repairs! Thanks!

We made an appointment for the needed service and requested the vehicle be done by noon and never got a call to update us. I finally called at 1, and after 13 minutes of being on the phone, the service department decided they would need to call me back with an update. Poor customer service. Poor organization skills which seems to be caused by poor management.
