It would be much better if a much clearer list of what was done to the car were given to the owner. For example, were the tires rotated? Was there an oil change? Were fluid levels checked? From what was given to me, I could only tell that the mats were checked.

Everyone was friendly and doing the best they could today. I dropped my truck off early for my 10:15 appointment and was told it would be ready by 12. At 1:13 I was told, “The shop is a little backed up and everything seems to be running an hour or so behind. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I will be contacting you as soon as it’s done.” At 2:09 I was told it would be best if I leave my truck overnight. I get it - you were slammed and everyone was doing their best, but I took a day off work, wasted the gas on a 60 mile round trip, got absolutely nothing done and I missed a 3 PM meeting back in Santa Ynez. I have a work road trip to Tahoe and back next week and today was my only day to get the work done. It’s a bummer but I understand **** happens. I’ll be back to get the work done in a week or two.
