I’m…not necessarily sure I trust international autos to handle my vehicle again after not only my experience today, but other experiences in the past.
I love my Subaru, I’m obsessed with it, but can’t help but feel that I am not listened to or that my problems are met with completely different, extremely expensive solutions than what I’ve described (and still really don’t get fixed).
Today I dropped off my car at 7:40am for 2 different issues, received a call asking to authorize $1200 worth of work without really explaining the problem, and 1 problem not even checked. I then received an email that my battery was being fixed due to a class action law suit but didn’t receive a phone call until much after notifying me that it was being replaced. I was told my vehicle would be done by 3:30-4:00pm. I tried calling several times to see if my car was ready and finally showed up at 4:30 to ask where it was. I waited, and waited, and finally got an update that I would need to wait some more.
I was given a list of recommendations for my car that could have been fixed today but were NEVER discussed on the phone with me. So why would I bring it back and pay for labor (again) when it all could have been done in the span of time to fix my car today? On top of that, I was given several different quote numbers for work suggested on my car.
So, why would I come back? I feel that I’m always taken advantage of here, and that’s not good customer satisfaction at all.

I made an appointment for 8:10 for my oil change and was given a free mini detail because my experience with my mast oil change was unacceptable. I asked when I made the appointment if I could have a loaner Katie said if one was available. I got to Subaru at 8 am and was checked in by Katie Dugan. She told me there wasn’t one available. She told me she would allow one hour for detail besides the oil change. So I figured I’d be put by 10-10:30. At about 10:15 she came and got me. I thought great! I’m ready….. she gave me a loaner. I said to her ( because of what she told me when I checked in) by the time I get home I’ll have to turn around and come come back. She didn’t say anything. I got home and waited and waited til about 1:00 ( 5 hours later) left her a message, heard nothing called and left another message. She did reply, don’t worry I’ll call you when it’s done. Very frustrated bring told at 8 it would be about 3 hours. If I ever get a loaner I drove home and stay there until I return it. I had to cancel plans I had with an old friend.
At 4 she called ( all happy) that my car was ready. Now it’s rush hour and waisted an entire day for a 2 hour appointment . Completely unacceptable. Why did it take so long? I had to pull people to do oil changes? WHAT? So appointment or not I got pushed to the back of the line. I’m not the one because the last time I was there that screwed up )and was give a free mini
detail . This is the second time in the last two times there that my service and experience horrible. I did talk to Sam. He was very apologetic saying this service was comped. Katie told me the same thing. So my service plan would have an extra 6 moth oil change and all that comes with it. I said I lease my car. I 1 1/2 years left on it. This is my second lease with you guys. I don’t like this crosstreck as much as my first one. Things turn on and off whenever it wants. At a stop same thing sometimes it turns off sometimes not, I did ask about it the time before this and the tech told me to read the manual. Are you understanding my frustration? Customer service with you guys has gone down hill from my first lease. You are paying your employees to do a job correct? If I’m paying for a service I expect what I was promised and if there is some sort of delay be honest, I get it things happen. But for me to loose an entire day waiting without knowing why is frustrating. Especially when people were pulled from finishing my car to only sit there while the work to get someone else’s car done as I wait.

Evey was great and my oil and tire service apparently went fine. Unfortunately the car started smoking on my drive home and I returned. Found out something was wrong with the filter causing the issue. Again Evey was great.I did not understand why my car was by passed by others onto the service bays. Filter was changed and car clean and I left 2 hours later than scheduled. Understand the issue was a faulty part.Resolution to come between you and supplier. I would have reasonably expected a refund of my original service or deep discount or at least a coupon for such for my next oil and tire service. I would appreciate if IA did so. Thanks and Happy new year.
