Doesn’t seem to me that having an appointment time for an oil change & rotation of tires plus an extra 20 minutes to repair a nail hole in one of the tires would take 2 1/2 hours.
Some process is not working; being left in the dark about the servicing as it happens is not good; and being lied to destroys trust in the abilities of your shop. The mechanic, bless his soul, had to “fill in” to explain the paperwork to me in order for me to pay and get my car back.

I brought my 2022 Tundra in to have the factory recall on the tonneau cover taken care of. The straps on the tonneau cover had broken last spring so I had bought new ones and brought them along as they were part of the tonneau cover. I told the service technician that checked me in about them. When my truck was finished, I was told that because the straps were not part of the recall they had to charge me $80.95 to put them on. I told him if I knew it was going to cost me, I would have put them on myself. I feel that, one, since they are a part of the tonneau cover, they should have been put back on as part of the recall. Two, since they had broken, why wouldn’t they be replaced as a warranty item. Three, I should have been told up front that they were going to have to charge me to put them on. I am disappointed with the service I received today.
