Disappointing first service visit for our 2025 Camry. Zero recognition of our decision to purchase our car in Ames, and receive service in Ames, an 80 mile round trip, since we live in West Des Moines. Sales experience was exceptional, and I expected the same from the service department.
No information at all was provided about our first service visit, as to how long it would take, how and where to enter the service area and check in.No explanation of texting process to advise us of findings, as well as when the car was done. Was told it would be an hour and 15 minutes, was actually an hour and 35 minutes, when I had to ask if the car was done.
Waited 35 minutes for shuttle to take us to lunch while the car was being serviced.
In short, no one did or said anything to make us feel welcome, or explain the process on our very first visit from West Des Moines. We love our Camry, and our initial sales experience at Wilson Toyota. I was quite surprised that it was not the same in the service department.
It is entirely possible I missed an explanatory email that may have been sent to me in advance of our service appointment. If so, I apologize and you may disregard this entire message. Thanks for listening.

Told they didn’t think it was under the warranty when you TOLD us to schedule because it was under warranty. The communication at this place is non existent. The excuse of it being busy isn’t acceptable.
