I am still waiting to hear about getting reimbursed for the brake booster I paid for before Toyota offered a program to replace ones that go bad.

Brenden did fine with me today but I think the process getting to today needs work. To have to wait over 2 weeks for an oil change with no explanation needs to be addressed. And then once I get to the appointment today to then be told that the last oil change at 22,000 miles is not covered under Toyota Care was a big disappointment. This was the first purchase at Wilson and after being at Hosmer Toyota in Mason City for 35 years they definitely have you beat when it comes to service. I am not just a name that no one cares about but someone who could have easily had another 20 years working with you. I’m not saying I’m leaving, but I am definitely disappointed with this experience.

All I needed was a tire rotation and it took 2.5 hrs. I had a scheduled appt. When I arrived I was told it would take 1-1.5 hrs. I asked why so long for just a rotation (I drove from DSM). He said it was because of all the people ahead of me. That’s just really poor scheduling. At 1.5 hrs he told me they found a nail in my tire but it would just take a few minutes. At 11 I inquired about the time. I was told 10 minutes. I checked out at 11:25. I was the only one left in the waiting area and I had an appt. This is totally unacceptable.

I feel the service department customer service has greatly declined. The mechanic was fine, the customer contact was not. We have been having our routine maintenance done at Wilson Toyota for many many years. I miss the exceptional service in the past with Manager Dan, there would be multiple updates on the progress of the service, personally talk to me about items that needed to be done, show me the air filter that may or may not need to be changed, etc. Today I had a 10:15 appointment, at 12:38 I received a text of needed items for follow-up. I had remained in the waiting room, no one attempted to find me before sending the text. I was told this was a Toyota directive..... This is very impersonal. I did overhear that they were short staffed, I am not sure if that meant the mechanics or the front staff, but either way no excuse. I have never left a negative survey in the past. We have been proud Toyota owners since 1974. As you may recognize, I am frustrated and disappointed.
