Wilson Toyota of Ames Auto Repair Service

I brought my truck in for rear brakes, possibly drum brakes as well, and an oil change. When I arrived I told Korie that I had ordered rear drum brakes, because I wasn't sure if I needed them. I also asked to have my truck washed. The mechanics did the inspection and I was not notified about whether ny car needed new filters, battery was ok, tire and brake checks, etc. I had to call to ask about these things. Before the shuttle took me somewhere Korie said my truck was going into get detailed and that I did need drum brakes and that they would rotate mine. I agreed to that. When I get back I am told my car has not been washed. I said I wanted it washed so they then went to wash it. This is all after I was told it was going into detail before I left. When my truck was done, a gentleman brought me my bill. I looked at it and it said $260 for drum brakes. I asked how is it this much to flip my drum brakes around like I had discussed with Korie. Korie then comes and says that they put the new drum brakes on my car since I had ordered them and that flipping the rear drum brakes was the same cost as getting new drum brakes. I did not approve the $260 to have new drum brakes put on, nor was I told of them putting them on instead of flipping the drum brakes like we had discussed 2 times prior. Had I not seen the charge and asked, she would not have told me any of this. The fact that she lied about the drum brakes being the same cost as flipping the old brakes annoyed me, but spending my money putting new brakes on my car without my consent really frustrates me. I drive an hour and 10 minutes one way to your facility to have my vehicles worked on. This isn't the kind of service I expect from yall.

I have bought all my cars from Toyota in Ames 6 cars to be exactly An oil change would NEVER ever take 2.5 -3 hours Sorry but ridiculous I have always recommended Ames Toyota CRAZY won’t any more I would appreciate a call

It may have been a miss communication after a call from service mgr but I Was asked about filters, I could have sworn I told them I take care of that stuff. It was done anyway.

I called 2 weeks ago. Set up the appointment for 11:15. Today went to lunch with a friend, came back to find out that the service advisor didn't think they had the park to fix my truck. That was only supposed to take 5 to 10 minutes. To put on and had to inform her that the part was in the parts department is what they had told me and they so I wasted 2 hours of time just waiting. What it takes, we help build stronger communities, but they did locate the part and put it on overall. Did good, but it could have been a 10 minute trip? And I drove core out of any noah, so people don't have their head on straight
