When I dropped off my vehicle for service, I was told that I should receive a call for the status around 1-2pm. Around 4:00pm, I called the service desk asking for the status, I was told that a service agent would call me back. I waited for an hour and decided to call back since I didn't receive any call. It directly went to a voice mail since it was after 5:00pm. I got a text message around 9:30am next day saying the service was complete.
When I went to pick up my vehicle, I asked to put on the front license plate since it was not installed when I bought it last October. However, the license plate was not installed at the center in the front. What a lousy job it was!

I’m not unhappy with the service but I feel you can do better on couple of things. Every time I go in for service, with an appointment, I always have to wait at least 15-20 minutes to see a service rep. Every time. And today, they told me to wait up front for my car when it’s done. I sat there over 30 minutes and finally I went to find out where my car was, only to find that it was sitting in the back. No one care to come look for me. The dealership was closing at that time. Also no one called me to tell me my car was ready for pick up. Or texted me. I just happen to be checking my email and saw an email telling me it’s ready. And other little things like complimentary snacks or even coffee is not offered. Granted today was the Padre event. Overall I felt I’m not getting “premium service” at Lexus of Escondido. Every time I come in for service, it’s at least $500-$1000. Some snacks can’t cost you that much. The best dealership I’ve been to for service is Lexus of Glendale. Wish I get the same level of service as I did at Glendale.

I just shared my wife’s experience on 6/29/2023, with a Lexus Escondido Representative following up on the service provided. At best there was a lack of customer service communication . At worst there was a lack of being detail oriented and/or an available backup Service Representative. My wife had provided the Service Advisor (Ben Vakarchuk) with her cell phone number to be contacted, while working on site at while at either Sharp Coronado or Sharp Chula Vista. Once we realized the vehicle status info had come to my cell phone I forwarded the info to her. However, my wife was unable to reach anyone and I then began calling and had the same experience. I finally got a very concerned and customer-friendly Service Dept. Operator (whose name I can’t recall), but she was determined to help and spent awhile also trying to reach someone. The Operator’s efforts resulted in her getting Jenny a Sales Lead to assist. Again, Jenny was very professional and customer-friendly. After sharing indicative data relative to the vehicle status, Jenny provided a direct phone number to be reached at to assist us and I shared that info with my wife. In summary; after spending approximately 45 minutes on the phone with two outstanding Lexus Escondido employees my wife received the info she needed to pickup her vehicle and return the loaner. I must say that after bringing vehicles to Lexus Escondido over ten (10) plus years and purchasing two vehicles there, this was by far the worst/most inconvenient experience we’ve had and not typical of Lexus Escondido. I especially appreciate the efforts of the Service Dept. Operator and Jenny from Sales, as they truly were determined to turn what was a bad experience into a good one. Respectfully, John “Jack” Banda
