Lexus requires me to bring back my loaner car replenishing the gas tank. When I picked up my car, upon completion of repair, the red light on my gas tank was on because the mechanic needed to run the engine long enough to confirm that the car was repaired. Why couldn’t Lexus replace the quarter tank of gas that was used during repair? At most, leave enough gas so that the warning light isn’t on. After all, I spent $1k in the last 2 weeks on repairs. Other than that, I am happy with Ryan and the team at Lexus.

The first time I brought my car to Lexus Carlsbad Chris was my advisor. He was rude, unhelpful, and condescending. I made a point of making sure he was never my advisor again. When I booked my last appt they tried to put me with Chris. I declined and was told Bernardo would be my advisor. So it was to my surprise when Chris met me at the service drive. I have tried to make sure my communication with him is limited, yet even in that he manages to come across as pompous and rude. I don’t know how long he’s been in this position but he seems to have lost his concern for customer service. If my only option for a service advisor is Chris, in the future I will take my car to Lexus of San Diego.

Alex was great (as was the cashier), but the rest of the staff left a lot to be desired. I arrived at 8:15 for my 8:30 meeting. I was checked in, but was told that “Ryan” was with a customer, but as soon as he was done, I’d be next. I waited for 20 minutes when I saw a gentleman come out of the office and introduce himself as “Ryan” to a customer who arrived about 15 mins after I did. I was incensed and when I questioned the 3 employees about what had happened, they all just scrolled through their I-Pads and didn’t say anything to me. Alex called me to tell me that my car was ready. I paid and went outside to await my car. 35 minutes later, I was still waiting. I found Alex and he had to track my car down. Not impressed!

There is now an airbag malfunction alert on the dash. As I was driving along on the freeway, my phone kept calling your number because you were the last person I called. It was very difficult to get it to shut off and it kept doing it. It also did the GPS tried to get me to go to a certain place the last place that I got directions for. I never even turned on the Direction finder it just came on automatically. The assist women’s voice kept coming on and telling me she didn’t understand my command. I never press the button for her assist. And all this was one. I was driving on the freeway. I’m amazed I didn’t get into an accident over this thing. The computer system is all screwed up. I’ll have to come in Monday and see what can be done about it. Very disappointed.
