Ryan is an excellent service advisor always following through on his commitments.

I made an appointment to have my Lexus 460’s driver side mirror replaced. My appointment was for Tuesday, 8/6 at 8am. The labor charge was for 1.5 hours. So my assumption was at the most it would take a half a day. My vehicle was not ready until 9:30am on Thursday. That was over 48 hrs from my scheduled appointment. When Alex called at 9:30am Thursday to say my vehicle was ready, I asked him if there was a problem with the installation. His response was they were extremely busy. I responded with why then did the scheduling department schedule my appointment for 8:00am Tuesday? He responded with the scheduling department does not know how busy the maintenance department is and next time to make sure and talk to Ryan or himself to schedule. I was not being sarcastic but I said that seems like a management / communications issue if the SCHEDULING department does not know how busy the maintenance department was that day. This same thing happened to me earlier in the year when I scheduled an appointment for a simple lube / oil change that took two days because of a busy schedule. Obviously your goal is customer satisfaction, so I would recommend the scheduling department and your Service Reps work together and plan appointments based on the work load. Don’t purposely schedule an appointment when based on the work load, the customer’s vehicle won’t be ready for 48 hrs for just a two hour installation time. Doesn’t that make sense?
