I asked for the broken tire pressure gage to be removed and the tire pressure monitor to be reset and none of this was done. I now have to call service and schedule another appointment to take care of the problem. Not happy. What is happening to the service department in Carlsbad? I have purchased and serviced my Lexus automobiles for 20 years in Carlsbad and I feel like this is not a luxury dealership what so ever. This is not the first time I have had an issue as of recent. Just the first time I have commented to management.

Tom Morrell was absolutely fantastic to work with. He is a prime example of how service advisors show operate. Communication and transparency exceeded expectations. We have an extreme issue with the diagnosis, however. Apparently there was an oil seepage with the head gasket back in June 2023, which turned into a an oil leak with the head gasket. This 2017 RX 350 with less than 50k miles has had a water pump failure followed by a replacement in June 2023, and now an oil leak in the head gasket in March 2024. We were never verbally advised of the “seepage” from the head gasket in June 2023. The water pump was the only issue discussed with the service center at that time. We have been a huge advocate for the Lexus brand, as we are a growing family that requires reliable and safe transportation for us all. For two very expensive repairs to be required within 50k miles of ownership is simply unacceptable. We’ve been aggressively seeking to purchase a Lexus TX to support our soon to be born (within this month) baby boy and our 18 month old toddler, along with Mom and Dad. The need for these repairs have turned us away from the Lexus brand as a whole. Lexus should support their product, especially with a vehicle that is so lightly driven (6 miles each way to work and never has towed anything). Routine oil changes and service should not allow for these types of repairs to become necessary. If Lexus does not support us in the repair of this surprise $8900 (quoted on 3/7/2024) repair, we will be selling the vehicle and never returning to the brand. When we bought my Wife’s car, we truly believed we were buying into a brand that is luxurious and reliable. We have yet to see the reliability. Lexus, if you read this, I am open for discussing the issue. However, we are due to have our baby within 2 weeks, so it better happen fast. Otherwise, we are gone for good.
