As a loyal customer of Wondries Toyota for over six years, I went in today to replace my car battery. Just before paying, Mr. Li mentioned the warranty terms for the new battery. I suddenly remembered that I had also replaced my battery here 5 years ago, so I should still be eligible for the warranty benefits. However, when I asked him if I could take advantage of the warranty, he seemed hesitant, as if he felt he had almost already finished my case. Although he checked for me, he didn't tell me how much I would save; he just said it would not be much. At the time, I thought if the savings were minimal, then it was fine. So I said 'ok, if it won't help much, then forget about that’. But after I got home and did some calculations, I realized I could have saved about $45. In current high inflation environment, that’s not exactly ‘not much’; in fact, it’s quite a bit for me. Therefore, I believe that as a customer service representative, he should clearly inform customers about the amount they could save through the warranty, rather than using vague phrases like “not much.” As a result, I am not very satisfied with this experience.
