Unfortunately we walked away from this service appointment unhappy. We have always had great experiences until Wednesday. We dropped our car off right at opening, checkin went smooth and we were quoted about 2 hours. Seemed reasonable- we left and waited for the vehicle report to see if anything else was needed. There were a few other repairs needed, we reviewed the report, responded within an hour with a few clarifying questions… got no answer from Rebecca. Messaged again after we had been waiting over 2 hours for her to respond. Again- she did not respond. We waited another hour, called to speak with her… we’re sent to her voicemail. Waited another hour… called again and were again transferred to her voicemail. We called back and spoke to another staff member… Debbie, who was able to locate the paperwork, told us our coupon would work, authorized the work, and immediately hung up on us. We finally got a call around 4pm from Rebecca that the car was ready. We came to pickup at 4:45… and were told that the coupon did not work, that only 1 of the 2 requested filters was actually changed, and that the other coupon for the oil change was not applied. The service advisor at this point said all paperwork needed to be redone and that I needed to wait for a manager. I say on the lobby for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to come clear this up with me. Meanwhile overhearing the service advisor at pickup brief the manager and state that he needs to handle this because she doesn’t have time for this. It took us almost an hour to pickup our vehicle, after we were told it would be ready in the morning. The manager who assisted was short, and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience or how long I had to wait for pickup. Overall; this situation is one that could have easily been avoided had there been communication. I understand working retail and having a busy day, but not having communication for 5 hours- after multiple attempts, then being brushed off because someone doesn’t have time, then wasting an hour picking up the vehicle, and being met with a cold/short manager. This is incredibly disappointing and a learning opportunity for your staff. I don’t expect perfection, but I would anticipate some kind of communication when I have a scheduled car service appointment. This experience left a bad taste in our mouth, and may leave us looking elsewhere for service. Sad, because we have bought and had many cars serviced through Toyota of Puyallup, and have jot encountered this level of disregard for customers. I hope you can chat with your team about the importance of communication and follow through, and get your team members on the same page regarding protocols and procedures.

My truck was in the shop for a month August 25 to September 24(give or take) 90K premium service water pump and problem with wipers intermittent only fine on low and high. When I asked about that issue I was told the motor is going out and it was replaced. Repairs and service cost totalled 3000 dollars....2000 by me and 1000 warranty company but the problem persisted. My vehicle came to the shop again for a froze caliper which is going to cost another 1000 dollars and I asked to look into the same wiper issue. My SA(Chance H) says the wiper problem is traced to the switch which is another 500 dollars. I feel you should eat the cost of the switch since your tech(s) misdiagnosed the issue in the first place. Im already $4000 in the last 3 months.

My wife was informed at the time of service that there was a dead Squirrel in the engine compartment and that we would have to remove it ourselves. They could still complete the oil change at this time. When i got home from work, I opened the hood and found the engine oil dipstick sticking out of the dipstick tube about 2 inches. I fully seated the dipstick in the tube. I located the perished Squirrel and had to remove the skid plate to get it out. The skid plate had to be removed to complete the oil change. It would have been easy to remove the Squirrel at that time. I got it done.
