Tech forgot to trim tire repair patch so I had to bring vehicle back immediately, and also forgot to put cap back on air valve and I asked for it one when I brought it back for the noise and they still didn’t put one on. I just wanted to leave cause I had been there for two hours already with no car wash for a basic oil change and it was after 6pm. I know I was quoted 1.5 hours and adding the tire repair tacked on a half hour but I was just tired and ready to go home. The advisor also told me “I’m not mad at you” when I had to bring the car back. She was super nice that statement just took me off guard. Cause I know I didn’t do anything wrong in the situation.

The simple repair took 9 days. CJ was good to work with but apparently the wrong gasket was ordered so it was delayed. The price at pick up was higher than quoted but CJ made some calls and said there were 2 mechanics that worked on my vehicle and hours were applied incorrectly so he adjusted it to original price. The cause of the repair was a bad PCV valve that created higher than normal oil pressure and oil was coming out of the air filter. I looked under the hood after I got home and I’m not convinced that the PCV valve has actually been replaced but the connecting hose looked new. The clamp at the PVC end of the hose was not put back on the hose so I did it. I’m not that satisfied at all. I have trusted Toyota of Puyallup for 18 years with my Wife’s 05 Camrey for oil changes and on the last oil change I could smell burning oil and it was over filled by plus 1 quart so I fixed it myself. I want to trust the service at Toyota but a little time will tell with the last repair on my 05 Tacoma. It still smells like burning oil and now it idles way too high. I will drive it some to see if it’s just oil burning of from before and possibly idling high because of whatever but it was washed and delivered to the front lot as being repaired and good to go. Im not a mechanic and shouldn’t have to check the work I paid for.

For some reason the technician disengaged my collision system and now I have to return to the dealer to have it fixed. Please explain why a technician would disengage a safety feature of a car and not return it back to on before allowing the car to leave the dealership. Most people rely on those features as a second defense. And again, more time off work to fix a problem that wasn’t a problem. Absolutely horrible service.
