On March 24th we stopped by the service department to have a mechanic assess knocking being heard when brakes were applied. The car had two problems; swing arm needed replacing and front brake pad had come loose. The brakes had been replaced in January of this year by Auto Gallery Service Center. We requested pricing for the swing arm on the 24th to determine if we could afford to do the repairs. We scheduled an appointment for brake repairs only for March 27th, but had to rescheduled for Friday 31st at 10 AM. That morning another requested was made for cost of the swing arm repair and was told we would receive a call. That afternoon we called for an update on pick up of car and pricing, was told someone would give us call. At approximately 5 PM my husband called and spoke with Cindy in the service department. She said the mechanics said it would be easier to repair brakes and replace swing arm all at the same time. She said a written estimate would be available when we picked up the car. At no time did anyone contact us and give us the option to do brake repairs with swing arm repair at the same time. The original appointment was to repair brakes that the mechanic on the 27th said needed to be done ASAP due to potential safety concerns. Customer service is about the customer and the staff should communicate to determine what the customer wants and can afford, not take it upon themselves to make the decision for the customer. The mechanic was doing what was best and easiest for him/her so they didn’t have to work harder. We were called today to explain pricing and was informed brake calipers needed replacing, which would cost approximately $325. It has been less than three months since brakes were replaced. were calipers not evaluated then? I paid $1759 on January 26th for replacing all the brakes. At this time I can not afford to get the swing arm repaired. I will getting estimates from other auto repair shops. Thank you for your time. Staff was professional and courteous. They did express concerns of several staff out sick, which was cause in delay with pricing.

After being told all the things that need to be fixed on the vehicle, I took it to another Ford dealership to have them look at it. They determine the only thing that needed to be replaced was the battery. There for the trust in the gaffney ford auto gallery is shattered. I was told that the battery was completely dead that wasn’t the case.
