My 2024 Highlander was at the dealership 3 different times for the same issue. The first time it stayed Jan 24-27 at which time I was told there was nothing wrong and I could pick up the car. Again, I had to bring it in. This time was Feb 6-7. I was told they found what was wrong and I could come pick up the car and drive it while they ordered a part. On Feb 11 I dropped it off to have the repairs completed. I picked up the car on the evening of Feb 11. Each time I was denied a rental due to policy that one is not provided unless the problem is covered under warranty. When my car was finally diagnosed as an issue covered under warranty, a rental was refused because it didn’t take more than a day to repair. I understand policy, but I was put in a position 3 different times if having to bum and beg for rides to and from work and to Lake Charles Toyota. It was very inconvenient. I feel like Toyota can do better.
