I appreciate everything ford has done for me on my most recent visit and **** made that happen. Whom ever may be reading this please get this to his boss. I needed reliable means of transportation and I expressed that to **** . He told me curiosity cars were all taken . After expressing that I must have reliable means to transportation for work due to the fact my car was currently not reliable **** went to his supervisor and made it happen. I do greatly appreciate ****’s boss for approving that for me. You’ve made me even more fan of Ford . Definitely have swayed me to buy a ford for my next car . Anyways, i appreciate everything ford has done for me these past two visits from communication and cost of repairs and also reliable transportation. I would personally like for the dealership Top supervisor to know about how wonderful **** and everyone that helped me in the process of getting my car fixed. I also forgot to mention how my car was DELIVERED to my job free of charge and the car given was taken back. ABOVE AND BEYOND superior customer service deserves to be recognized. After multiple back and forth in scheduling, my vehicle was scheduled for a Ford issued recall fix of the front lamp (blinking). The vehicle was transported to Akins Ford after Akins Ford confirmed that the recall issue would be taken care of in one day. After the vehicle arrived at Akins Ford I received a call that Ford Corp. halted the current lamp recall because the fix was ineffective. The technician who is not to blame for this incident, informed me that my truck received no service other than to check if a previous unrelated recall fix was still in compliance. To sum all of this up, Akins Ford Service Department scheduled me for a recall fix that it previously knew was halted by Ford Corp. Akins Ford then checked an already fixed issue just so that the vehicle would not have been returned without some type of justification or record of something being checked, even if what was checked was never required to be checked or mentioned as the problem or cause of concern. Ford Corp. did not halt the lamp recall fix on the day of my service, therefore, Akins had preexisting knowledge that the fix had been halted and that this entire scheduling was a waste of time. Further, it was mentioned during the call that Akins Service Department was overwhelmed and/or serviced a large fleet of vehicles and constantly was out of rental cars. If the supposed largest volume Ford Dealer in the area cannot adequately provide after-sales service, it is highly recommended that Akins should not sell as many vehicles as it currently does. After sales care is just as important as pre-sales care. It is unfortunate because I purchased this vehicle at Akins through the recommendation of a family friend. I respectfully say I cannot recommend Akins to anyone at this point in time. After bringing my concerns up to the salesman that sold me the vehicle, he simply informed me to start the truck and if it started, drive it. That is not the solution when a customer spends over $75,000. As a result, I also cannot recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from Akins at this point in time. With the number of recalls and now complete failure of the 360 camera system while still under warranty, keeping this truck long term would not be a smart decision on my part.
