Akins Ford Dodge Jeep Chrysler Auto Repair Service

I brought my jeep in on September 20th because the check engine light came on again. Jay, in service had reset the code when I came in August for my oil change. He said if it came on again they would have to fix it. So, I brought the jeep in. I also knew that I needed rear brakes. When I dropped it off on the 20th I advised Alan I knew I needed rear brakes and to go ahead and do those since I knew you would need my jeep for about a week. I also asked for them to fix the check engine light problem, Allen said it was all in the system because I couldn’t find my information from when I was there in August. Also I started getting the death wobble and Alan told me they would have to diagnose that. I was aware of being charged for diagnosing an issue, NOT FOR EACH DIAGNOSIS and not by different people diagnosing the issue!! I can not believe there is a charge for EACH issue! I was in contact with Alan while you had my jeep. My jeep was there from the 20th till the 4th of October. They didn’t put it in the bay until Monday or Tuesday, the 30 or 1st. I spoke with Alan on Friday the 4th and he advised me my jeep need A LOT of work, 8600.00 worth!!! I advised him I was coming to pick it up on Saturday morning, the 5th. When I got to the dealership Saturday morning, the girls at the service counter were very nice, Kim, I think, told me I owed 585.00!!! I said for what!!! You guys didn’t even do my brakes OR fix the check engine light problem, from when I was there in August. I was EXTREMELY upset. NEVER DID I THINK it was going to be $585.00 for freaking diagnosing!!! Kari, behind the service counter, advised me she was not going to charge me because nothing was done!! AND I NEVER knew there was a charge for EACH diagnoses. WOW!! I was in tears! I can not afford 8600.00!! I sent the invoice Alan gave me to a friend of a friend at another dealership and was able to get my Jeep fixed for $1100.00. EVERYTHING was fixed that was on the invoice. They didn’t charge me $585.00 for diagnosing. I don’t know if I’ll be back to you guys. I’ve always spoke very highly of you, you guys have always treated me well. This experience was not a good one. The girls in the service department are wonderful, and caring! Kari even told me she would personally come get my jeep, fix my brakes and bring it back to me in one day. I mean you had my jeep for 2 weeks and didn’t do ANYTHING !! I thanked her. Anyways… that’s my experience with y’all this time. I wasn’t happy. Sincerely, Susan W
