I have taken my car to get serviced 3 times so far and there is something that bothered me about the experiences. Each time I scheduled the complimentary ride home which was offered. I live 3 min away. The 1st time was fine there were no problems. But the 2nd time the worker basically told me that I have to wait since it’s only going to b 45 min. This last time, I was motioned towards the waiting room w/no mention of the ride I had scheduled. Also when I asked the girl for the car wash code she looked at me and said, “You mean I have to get up? Well I had to go over there anyway.” Ugh. These might seem insignificant, but it all adds up and creates a perception in me of a company that can not be bothered. I’m sure that’s not the reputation Toyota is looking for so I thought I would go ahead and share my experience and how it made me feel unimportant and irrelevant.

My 2019 Avalon is a great car, but it almost stranded me at a gas station when suddenly it would not start. Was finally able to get it running and drove it straight to Heart City Toyota. They diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and got me taken care of in a couple days; had to wait on the part. Car is back running perfectly. Kept me well informed and very happy with the service!

Asked for an oil change and was charged over $16/qt for 0w8. The explanation was that the oil is in short supply making it expensive and that I should be changing my oil every 10k because of this. After I left the dealership I found Mobil 1 0w8 in stock at Walmart for $27 for 5 quarts. You can’t tell me Heart City pays more for oil than I do full retail. I feel like I was lied to and was up charged over 300% and should have been told before they proceeded with the oil change. I will be calling other dealers in the future to check your prices and considering having my future service completed somewhere else. Over $150 for an oil change is more than I ever paid for my V8 F150 it’s completely ridiculous.
