I made an appointment a week in advance for a recall on my 2024 Prius. I arrived on time and found a seat in the waiting room. 1 hour later the service agent told me they didn’t have the parts to service the recall; The parts were never ordered. The service agent said that they would call me when the parts came in. It’s hard to believe that the Toyota South service team is that incompetent and I am considering taking my car elsewhere for service.

Everything went well. I was a bit confused to the response I got when I expressed I was getting some shutter in my breaking. Was told there would be a 75 dollar fee if they didn’t find anything. At the same time I was told they were backed up. I advised I was still in the 2 yr 24k miles free maintenance. Then told there would still be a fee if nothing was found. This didn’t sound right (counter productive) to have an advertised 2 yr 24k free maintenance but still potentially charge a fee. Not sounding right I argued this. Was then told they would take care of it. Rotors had to be machined. There was no charge.

I know that when you all started work on my 2005 Toyota 4Runner, y’all had some issues, however, y’all went above and beyond to make things right. And that truly speaks volumes. It was my first time using Toyota South service, and I feel quite comforted by my experience and care received.

The price to replace a speed sensor was $840. This is high considering other repair shops of $200 to $400. I also asked which tire pressure sensor was bad and was informed that this information was not available after paying a. $190 diagnostic fee. I have always been impressed with Toyota service, but this appears a little excessive. Lillie was very cordial and was great to deal with. The problem is the high cost and lack of wheel sensor location

I waited 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation (40,000 mile maintenance checkup) for $152. I will not continue to come to Toyota South for service; I can get better prices and better time management elsewhere.
